These terms apply when you use the Petavia app or website, run by Petavia ("we"). By using Petavia you agree to them.
What Petavia is
Petavia is an app that independent pet shops use to take bookings and sell products. Each shop is its own business. We provide the app; we do not provide the grooming, care or products ourselves.
Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure, and give correct details so shops can reach you.
You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Buying from a shop
When you book a service or order a product, your agreement is with that shop. The shop sets its prices, deposits, opening hours, cancellation rules and refunds, and is responsible for its services and products.
Deposits and cancellations follow the shop’s rules shown in the app. A shop may keep a deposit if you cancel late or do not turn up, when its rules say so.
Online payments go directly to the shop through its payment provider. Refunds are made by the shop. If a shop has not switched on online payment, you pay at the shop.
Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 are not affected.
For shop owners
Shop plans are bought on petavia.shop and renew monthly until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your shop stays open until the end of the period you paid for.
You are responsible for your shop’s content, prices, services and products; for following the law, including consumer, animal welfare and licensing rules; and for using your customers’ personal data only to serve them, as the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 requires.
Do not sell illegal or restricted items, such as protected wildlife or medicines that need a licence or prescription.
We may suspend a shop that breaks these terms or puts customers or animals at risk. We will tell you why when we can.
Fair use
Do not misuse Petavia: no fake bookings, harassment, false reviews, attempts to access other people’s data, or anything unlawful.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, videos and text you upload. You allow us to store and show them in Petavia so the service works. Only upload content you have the right to use.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Petavia running, but it may sometimes be unavailable or have mistakes. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for a shop’s services or products, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using Petavia at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app before it applies.
